The Erie County Property Alert Service notifies users when documents are filed with the Erie County Clerk that contain the exact S-B-L and/or Party Name as a specific property for which the subscriber has registered to receive email alert notifications.  The Property Alert Service is a free service designed to assist property owners in monitoring the legal status of their properties and aid in detection of a potentially fraudulently filed documents.

Alerts will be sent to subscribers at the email address they specified when they subscribed to the Property Alert Service.  Email Alerts will be sent when a document is recorded by the Erie County Clerk that contains the exact S-B-L and/or Party Name that the subscriber registered to receive email alerts for.

THE PROPERTY ALERT SERVICE DOES NOT PREVENT FRAUDULENT ACTIVITY FROM OCCURRING, BUT IT CAN AID IN TIMELY DETECTION OF FRAUDULENT ACTIVITY AND ASSIST PROPERTY OWNERS IN MONITORING ACTIVITY THAT COULD AFFECT THEIR PROPERTY. IF A SUBSCRIBER SUSPECTS FRAUDULENT ACTIVITY, THEY SHOULD CONTACT LAW ENFORCEMENT DIRECTLY.
